Atticus lost his first two teeth 6 months sooner than Charlie lost his. I am personally not pleased about the way it went down.
We were visiting Mark's sister in Atlanta. She has a VERY energetic 3-year-old. Now, I have three boys and I know they pack like dogs. Not often just the three of them, but throw any others in the mix and it's trouble. Any kind of nudity and the energy is times ten. We were at the playground with some new friends, this woman has a boy Max's age (4) and a boy in Atticus's kindergarten class. Well, the mom and I were chatting and before we knew it, the boys were all shirtless and running around like a rabid pack of wolves. That was the same day we had to have the talk with Max about showing his private parts in public. The mom declared, dumbfounded, "It's like Lord of the Flies."
Anyway, back to Atlanta. It was right after bath, they were all naked, and you can only imagine how crazy it was. Then suddenly Atticus and his cousin collided. I saw something white in his cousin's hair. Atticus picked whatever it was out of his hair, looked at it, then threw it on the ground. I picked it up, and lo and behold, it was his tooth. One of his bottom center teeth. It would have been all good if it wasn't bleeding.
The second bottom incisor (as Charlie informed me) was hanging by a thread, laying perfectly perpendicular to the ground. It took another week for him to get the guts to pull it out, of course in the middle of gymnastics class.
Check out my post "Fairy, Fairy Quite Contrary." Yes, from the Tooth Fairy Atticus got $10 ($5 for each tooth) and a Bakugan and movie since they were his first.
