The Boys at School

Charlie has been doing great in 1st grade. He's made his Accelerated Reader goal every quarter and his reading has really come along. He is also obsessed with geography. it started with the globe in the classroom. Then Mrs. Helenthal said "You have to get this kid a globe." He had been sitting in his room studying the tiny globe he has. He even got out the "Dinosaurs" book that has a small map of where that particular dinosaur lived, and he finds it on the map.

Atticus has been working really hard in Kindergarten to pull it together with the self-control. He has also struggled with handwriting but he's overcome everything we've asked of him. His reading is great. He may be above average. He loves to read, but still feels intimidated by books at home and prefers his "sight word" books.

Maxie is doing great at preschool and LOVES it. He loves it so much in fact that he is going to two four-year-old classes next year. He'll have Mrs. Zych MWF and Mrs. Kurth TR. He writes his name and counts to 20 and besically does everytihng he can to keep up with his brothers.
